Program Description
It is now pssible to take the experience, education and expertise tha tyou have and turn those attributes into a successful teaching career that can truly impact the lives of children. 

The Georgia Teacher Alternative Preparation Program provided by the Oconee RESA is accepting applications in to the program that leads to initial teacher certification.

Phase One of GA TAPP consists of approximately 200 hours that include an initial course, field experiences, observations, pre and post observation conferences with an assigned mentor and other support team members, as well as other experiences and courses.

The Candidate Support Team and the Candidate will develop a plan to meet the required competencies for certification that could include additional staff development courses and / or college course work.

Phase Two includes field experiences and the development of an electronic portfolio documenting proficiency in required competencies.
